Habanero peppers are highly versatile, suitable to spice up many recipes, salads, soups, stews, and even desserts. The habanero sambal is most common in the Surinamese kitchen. It is also a beloved condiment that African and Caribbean kitchens simply can’t do without.
Amar Food Extra Hot Sambal is made with the habanero peppers fresh from our local greenhouse. Sambal is prepared from a mixture of peppers, vinegar and salt. We believe in the pure, authentic taste of exotic ingredients, so we don’t mix in any other peppers. Compared to other sambals, our home recipe has a higher percentage of pepper. So, in addition to being extremely fresh, this means that the flavours (and the heat!) are intense.
